Kelly spent her early childhood years surrounded by John Deere tractors and cornfields in a small Southern Illinois town. Growing up she played field hockey, soccer and softball, but didn’t start weight training until college. It was around this time that she became intrigued about bodybuilders who could train and eat a certain way to morph their physiques. Shortly after making this observation, she switched from marathon running to weight training to achieve a more muscular look for herself.

Over the years, she has studied and researched various diets and training methods in order to discover what works best for her physique. She even went so far as to enter several local and national figure competitions.

Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and worked for the same Fortune 100 company for over 15 years. While doing IT work, Kelly was concurrently working part time as a flight attendant for a major US Airline. And to further add to Kelly’s busy life, her entrepreneurial spirit began back in 2009 when she became certified in sports nutrition and personal training. She trained clients in the evenings and weekend hours.

Since becoming a wife and mother of 2 small children, Kelly has cut back on a few of her jobs. She continues to work part time for the airlines and her personal training business has morphed into a fitness equipment company. She co-owns and operates Fitbodiez with her husband. Her training has been cut back to 3-4 days per week as she juggles the household and business schedules.
